Sadly, Kamala's messaging didn't land. Glitzy celebs, the Obamas wagging their fingers...that meant very little to the real people on the ground. Telling people the economy isn't bad when their rent has doubled and they can't even buy the good peanut butter anymore isn't a strategy. The Dems have had an issue with that elitist shit before. This time, they voted for what felt like a plan for more in their pockets even if they had to hold their nose to do it. The lesson? The Dems need to read the room, listen to the voters and their concerns. If they had, we'd be discussing something very different today.
