See Ya On The Other Side Vicky
So, another piece of the old youth has left the earth. My teenage years are beginning to look like that pathetic puzzle everyone has in the back of their closet that they never take out because pieces keep disappearing and now it’s only half a picture.
This time, the piece is Anne Heche. Poor thing, she seemed, from all the news reports over the years, well, decades, to be a very troubled soul.
But there was a time when she was a pretty damn good actress.
As a woman of a certain age (51, the age is 51), I was born and raised on the afternoon soap opera. And my very favourite as a teenager was Another World!
The iconic circle made of circles, the day-to-day trials and tribulations of the Coreys, Frames, Matthews’, Loves and later Hudsons. The deep voice at the end at exactly 3:55 pm that announced “Next time on Another World…” They’re all part of the fabric of my youth.
And one of my favourite characters was bad girl Vicky Hudson. Anne played her and her identical twin…
