Short answer, yes. Like Meghan, I am a mixed race woman who presents white. I know in my soul she's telling the truth about the concerns about Archie's colour because I've been there. I know, I read the tabloid headlines, "Straight Outta Compton."

People and life are complicated. Compassion comes in a variety of ways. I know as a mixed race woman that Meghan speaks truth. I know when she recounts the racism she's encountered, she's not lying and I stand on that.

However, I wish cancer on no one. Maybe Catherine wasn't the nicest person in the universe. Maybe Meghan wasn't all that easy to get along with. Sometimes people don't click. That doesn't mean one of them deserves cancer.

We can absolutely stand in both. And I do.
