It’s easy to get down in the dumps when the temperature plummets to -35 degrees Celsius (that’s -31 Fahrenheit for my American friends) and everything is covered in snow. Why? Because it kinda sucks.

But in Canada, where I live, winter lasts about 5 months. That’s almost half the year, every single year. So, unless I want to be miserable for half my life, I’ve had to find a way to cope with it and I have — by capturing it on film.

To combat the winter blues, I bundle up, grab my camera and head outside. There’s something about the crisp, clean air that makes a person feel alive. And the scenery just can’t be beat! There’s nothing more beautiful than snow-capped trees or iced branches glistening in the sun. Unless of course, it’s a winter sky!

There’s something about the sky in the wintertime that is extraordinary!
