So. Many. Thoughts. Can the supportive friend and Zionist live in the same person? Maybe. Could she have interpreted your passionate plea for her to see your side bullying? That's more complicated for me and that's where I'm struggling to say anything good. I'm struggling to see both sides.

People are free to be wrong. People can disagree. People can debate passionately. I have friends I disagree woth, we are able to debate hard and show our evidence. Do I change minds? Sometimes yes, most times no.

But the jump to "bullying" by a white "friend" who should know you better than to think that....I just can't. There's so much pain and history behind that accusation, behind that word...the angry Black woman trope, just to name one. She was trying to silence you, to shut you down and went there. Make no mistake. reading this gave me flashbacks to my ex husband who never used the word "bullying," but instead said, "Oh here we go, getting all ghetto girl on me," when we disagreed. Different words, same message, "shut your Black (or Brown) ass up, white people are talking!"

My heart aches for you. It sucks to lose a friend, but was she really a friend? As my mother used to say, "When someone shows you who they are, beleive that!"
