Excellent advice. I wish more people would follow it.
The other day, I read a story by Susan Scandiffio (https://medium.com/@susanscandiffio) that made me laugh out loud while simultaneously weeping for humanity. Aside from laughing and weeping, her article made me think. It made me think of some of the more ridiculous things people have said to me, about me or in my general vicinity. Even better, she and her work, jump started my creative juices and prompted me to compile some of my favourite geniuses at their very finest:
1. I don’t want to wait: Forgive me as I channel my inner Sophia Petrillo. Picture it, a mid-sized Canadian town during Covid, the day after a long Easter weekend. I’m at the grocery store. It’s packed and the checkout line stretches across the the wide space separating the cashes from the rest of the store, down through frozen foods and almost into the dairy section. There’s an employee diligently, and quite efficiently moving people along through the line to the next available cashier.
