Dazzling, brilliant golden heat,
I remember your light, so bright,
You burned yourself, a time or two.
You flickered, but you never faded,
Until today, one final flash,
The light was gone,
And your warmth began to fade.
As the chill sets in upon my soul,
I know, the sun has finally set
And it’s time to say goodbye.
