Thank You From The Bottom Of My Heart
Just a quick note to express my heartfelt gratitude to my wonderful readers and fellow writers.
A couple days ago, I posted a quick note about my cousin’s daughter who had gone missing:
I reached out and asked all my California and American pals to keep an eye out. Honestly, I didn;t expect much, but I got comments from folks that pledged to keep their eyes peeled, that alerted hiking and biking groups, etc.
And just about 30 minutes ago, a kind reader sent me the best comment possible, she’d been watching her local news and it was being reported that my beautiful cousin was found and is alive and safe!
Of course, I had to verify the information. And it checks out.
I’ll never know how she was found or who found her. I’ll never know if one of you were the direct reason, through your efforts, that she’s safe today. But I do know that more eyes on the case had to be a good thing and I know that my writing community stepped up. We put the word out. And we did good!
Thank you so much. I don’t have words right now to express my gratitude. I’ve never met this cousin in person, but she is family and as a mother, I can’t even imagine the horror her mother went through not knowing where her baby was for 2 weeks.
You, my readers and fellow writers, are a testament to the good we can do through social media and through our words. And for that, I will forever be in your debt. xoxoxo
