That is so heartbreaking. Sadly, I've known of several people just in the "foster care game" for the money. It's not about love for children, it's about an income. The system is so broken.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. But I'm glad you've been able to come through it, write about it and kinda hope if that miserable woman is still alive that she reads your story. She won't recognize herself, her kind never does, but still...
