That's the strange space we live in as mixed-race women. One of us should write about it. Racist white me want to parade us around to show how "not racist we are" all the while taking their racist garbage out on us.
But Black men and these are the ones I encountered, and may not be the experience of everyone, wanted to do the same, take me around like, "Look, looie here at the prize I got." As if I were a ticket to something. Others, and a few said this to my face, thought I'd be more "agreeable" and compliant, "like a white woman" you know, looking white and all.
