The analogy doesn't make me angry at all. If there's ever going to be a resolution to racism and racial disparity, there has to be honest dialogue. That means both sides being able to speak their minds and both sides being willing to hear things that might be uncomfortable.

I think you're right that some people do feel that way. Why would anyone want less when they've had more? It's easy to see your theory in action on the right of US politics right now.

However, societies, counties, etc. aren't run like businesses. And expecting entire races of people to just sit back and continue to allow themselves to be pushed aside is untenable. There has to be a way to achieve a more equitable society. It seemed we were making progress for a while there, and then we kinda slid back.

I don't have the answers, but I do applaud you for having the guts to "say the quiet part out loud."
