Keeley Schroder’s prompt #4 for April is to discuss whether one is musically talented or challenged:

I’m aware I’m a day late. It’s nothing new. I’m one of those people that happens to be a day late and a dollar short for pretty much everything in life.

And much like my life, the answer to Keeley’s question is complicated.

I love music! It’s the literal soundtrack to my life. I can pinpoint key moments in my life through song. For example, Alan Parson’s Project’s 1982 hit Eye in the Sky is the first song I remember as a young girl getting into popular music.

Daryl Hall was the first singer I remember having a mad crush on. And I Want Your Sex, well, I did, and I did, ya know.

Anything Charley Pride or Randy Travis reminds me of my dad and the Backstreet Boys immediately fills me with warm feelings of my own children’s childhood
