What can a person’s taste in movies tell you about them? Can it tell you anything? I’m not sure. Maybe. Let’s find out.

I was prompted to write this story after stumbling on Pierce McIntyre’s writing challenge in which he asks readers to write about the 5 movies and 5 songs that define them (I’ll get to the songs another day). Here it is, check it out. Maybe it’ll spark something in you too:

Writing Prompts: What Songs And Movies Define You?

As I write this, I’m faintly giggling to myself. It seems almost disingenuous of me to write about movies. I’m no movie buff. I’m not even really a movie fan. I honestly could count the number of times I’ve sat down, watched and enjoyed an entire movie and still have a finger and a couple of toes left over.

I don’t sit still well under the best of circumstances, so a movie has to really grab me to compel me to devote 2 hours of my time and attention to it. These are the 4 that did, the 1 that didn’t and what they tell you about me.
