The Toys for Tots thing really got to me. My dad always gave. We didn't have that specific charity, but he used to sponsor 2 or 3 families in Elm Hill (a Black setttlement outside of town where the people were marginalized, poor and pretty much ignored). He'd literally bring Christmas to them, food, toys, clothes, whatever, and even though he didn't have to, he'd surprise thiem with Easter and Thanksgiving too. He couldn't stand seeing children go without, himself having gone without.

I hope you enjoy your pizza. It's probably those small things that seem like no big deal to us on the outside that keep you guys going. As for the guys with the "gimmies," Fuck em.
