This made me laugh out loud and spit out my Christmas beer, LOL. Way back in the day, we'd drive across the border (this was the 80s) to shop and get cheap smokes at the Duty-Free for stockings. Oh, and my mother got an Electrolux hoover in 1956 (the same year my brother was born, he's 15 years older than me). It was her pride and joy.
I remember horsie rides on my father's back, but yeah, the saddle is creepy and odd.
It's so strange looking back and seeing what we normalized. Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
