This was a timely reminder, thank you. Winter and I, well, we don't get along.

First, I must admit to giggling at your use of the term "bank holidays." Your time in Eurpoe is showing, LOL.

Much of Canada has similar weather to Philly, as you know. I love the fall, the leaves, the cooler, but still pleasant temperatures. The dog park isn't crowded like before, etc.

As for the bunch of holidays between October and January (in Canada, Thanksgiving is in October), I pretty much opt out of the commercial aspect of them now that the kids are adults. I hate the malls most days and at Chrsitmas time...don't get me started! patience is not a virtue I possess, I'm trying to learn, I'm not there yet. Oh, but we still do the feasting part of said holidays, I mean, what can I say, we like to eat! ;)
