Breaking Up With Vocal

I’ve been on Vocal for about a year, and a bit. I’ve won 3 challenges. I placed in a few others. And now, I can’t get a look in.

I understand the business model. I get that my free year doesn’t accord with the presentation to the shareholders. I get I’m not a revenue generator now.

I guess I was hoping for something better. I was hoping to be judged on merit. Yeah, no. The winning stories weren’t bad, don’t get me wrong, but I was pretty sure I’d get a look inside.

My hubby told me. He said I was done, that there’s no cash in the bank as far as Vocal’s concerned. I’m a loss leader. But, ya know, thanks for the $8 K.

Whatever. Onward and upward. I’ll enter their little challenges until my free year is up, for shits and giggles.

I know. I actually read the presentation to investors all about increasing revenue. I’m not a money maker. Okay, ebb and flow and now I ebb out. I’m disappointed, I wanted to live in a universe where merit meant shit. I don’t live there. I’ll seek other opportunities, I’ll be fine. But, Vocal and I are done. I got my coin. See ya, suckers and thanks for the loot!
