Torture! When I was married to my ex, his parents INSISTED on attendance for a family dinner on Christmas Day. I was finishing my undergrad during the day, working at a call centre at nights and still managed to get the holiday off. You know what I said/ I said, fuck no, not this year. I told my ex if he wanted to go, fine, but my kids wanted to stay home with their stuff and have their friends over to their house and I'll cook the damn turkey. I was exhausted and not even about to do another BS thing with those people. The people I say the night before at the MANDATORY Christmas Eve party. I can't give the ex much, but I can give him this, he drew the line and stood firm with me on this thing.
