As time went on, it felt things were getting better.

Suddenly, racism was "En vogue." The people who said the stuff in quiet began saying it out loud.
My cousin, a PhD educated 68 year old woman was stopped, manhandled and ordered to take off her headscarf at a local airport a few months ago. I was rejected from a book singing.
I weep for humanity.
