Ugggg! And this is why I don't listen to the so-called "big writers" and their advice. There are certain realities in life, like bills and food.

Sure, go all in on writing, quit that teaching gig....and just how are you going to acheive that dream of writing full time when first the internet gets tunred off, then the electricity and then you're living in a box? I'm being somewhat hyperboloic, but you get my point.

That kind of advice is the same garbage my husband, an artist deals with - the whole starving artist thing, you have to go all in ans suffer for your art. Newsflash, nobody does their best work when they're starving.

There are a myraid of ways to acheive your dreams. Do it your way and forget the so-called advice.
