Well, first off, I think a year ago, we were still in "pandemic mode". Many of us were still in some sort of lockdown situation and/or working from home. Now, we're not. I think that has a lot to do with the downturn in reads and interactions.

I've also noticed people dropping off of the platform with whom I used to enjoy lively interaction. I think people move on.

My reads are about half of what they were this time last year, which kinda sucks, but I do think what I cited above are the main reasons why.

I love to read, but I read what I like. I follow writers whose work I enjoy. I don't bother to force myself to read something I don't enjoy. Life's too short.
