Would a pot of gold solve all your problems?
My answer is no, and also yes. First the no. I’m a pretty happy person. I have all that I need, well pretty much, and most of what I want. I have a wonderful husband that worships the ground I walk on. We have that odd kind of closeness that makes other people gag.
We know what the other is going to say or what they need before they speak. We can spend days, months, and ages together 24/7 without getting bored or wanting to kill each other. Some may call it co-dependent, we call it love.
I have 3 wonderful boys. I have a gorgeous dog who also adores me. I get to work from home and I have my health. I’m also very low maintenance. I don’t care about shopping unless it’s books or food. I do my own hair. I have plenty of clothes, my size hasn’t really changed.
Money won’t change those things. I had lots of money when I was practicing law and when I was married to my ex. I was miserable. I was overworked, stressed out, and trapped. A pot of gold didn’t make it better.
However, I wouldn’t turn down a pot of gold if it were offered. Money would solve…
