Yeah, I'm Canadian, this happned in Canada. Nice to know our education systems are similarly bad.

Your boredom isn't her problem? Hmmmm, I beg to differ. Seriously, how hard is it to hand a kid a fucking book? It's a scary thought, that some adults, teachers, are actively jealous of and trying to quash their love of learning. I just don't understand it.

I was lucky to have excellent teachers for most of my school days back in the 70s and 80s. They had no problem allowing me to read other books, work on other little things or go hang out in teh school library (one time I even got to help our VP make Easter cookies) when my assigned work was done.

My kids, as you can see weren't so lucky. That being said, they did have a handful of wonderful teachers too.
