Yeah, no, it's not like that. I'm mixed race. I was born and raised in Canada. My European family don't see fat as wealth at all.
But my African family kinda do. Cousins that still live there do see a karger body as a sign of affluence, although it's really just a sign of the cheap garbage that's being pushed toward us as "food".
Healthy, natural food should not be so expensive. In many countries it's inaccessible to many. In fact, here in Canada, with inflation, it's become inaccessible to many lower income people. This is so sad because we have a wealth of land and resources. Food should be cheap. But we're mortgaging the future health of our children with cheap, ready made "not food". As a medical professional, I know you understand teh shortsightedness of this and liekly see the damage in teeth every single day. I'm glad you, like me, am fortunate enough to be able to afford to take charge of your health.
