Yes, please do, I'd love to learn more. I'm sure I probably have relatives that came to Canada that way too. My 6th great grandfather, the one I write about ran to join the British in 1789/90 from the Santee area and a rice plantation owned by Col. Elias Horry. But he left behind a mother and at least 2 sisters and I have no idea what happened to them or whoever may have come from them.

It's just so fascinating to be discovering this wealth of culture and heritage that I never knew existed! I'm kind of addicted now.
