Yes, there are a lot of bigots out there. I can agree with that. However, your condescending tone is not one I appreciate. Further, it displays the weakness of your argument and your insecurity in it.

I certainly don't need you telling me how I think the world works or whether it needs me telling it anything or not. I'm well aware of how the world works. I've lived in it as a mixed-race woman for 52 years.

Race is a social construct, yes. And ethnicity is real . The problem is the social construct is pervasive and as a result, racism existed, and continues to exist. Your position that we "just treat everyone as individuals" sounds good, on the surface. But once you dig deeper, it just doesn't work. That's the problem with surface-level thinking, though isn't it? In a perfect world, it might. Sadly, we don't live in the little utopia you've created in your head.

You don't strike me as a stupid person, but you certainly are wilfully ignorant. I think you fully understand the difference between equality of opportunity and equality of outcome. I think you're scared shitless that anything that gives something to someone else, say...oh, a person of colour on a larger scale, like...oh ....DEI takes something away from you personally. Therefore, you take a reductionist approach to a wider problem and throw phrases like "treat all individuals well," and "let's just be pro-human" around to insulate yourself from being called racist. It's something you hide behind that makes you feel better about your untenable argument. I see right through it. Again, I practiced law for years, I ate and still eat arguments like yours for breakfast.

There's no mush in my head, just facts. I've seen DEI work in my own family (remember, mixed-race). It's not perfect, but it's something.

Thank you for the fun, but I'm bored now. You simply don't have the mental capacity or argument skills to extract yourself from your faulty logic. Worse than that, you condescending way of addressing me demonstrates an unwillingness to consider any opinion but your own. Enjoy your day.
