You asked me specifically about my comment, not about what you read into the article. I was very clear that my mother had a saying that if a person...note I said PERSON, not man or woman, felt the need to tell everyone they were something, nice, smart, whatever, then they likely weren't.
You knew exactly what I meant and asked an asinine question so you could then make your little statement.
Why not just comment that to the writer in the first place rather than this childish work around? If you're so confident in your assertion, that's where your comment belonged, not under my response. That amuses me.
