You have a point, although you've expressed it somewhat inelegantly (I really hate the word mansplain). The rich are indeed the ones that benefit from economic collapse. However, allow me to womanspalin a few things for you:

1. Inside information aka insider trading can land your rich white ass in jail, if you get caught;

2. Reaching out to the middle is a nice idea that sounds like it makes sense, but it really says nothing at all. That's not an insult toward you, that's a statement of practical relaity. We're living in a very polarized political and social climate where there's huge pressure to be on the "right side". Human nature is part of that, everyone wants to be on the winning team, so to speak.

3. Don't underestimate the effectiveness of public pressure on corporations. Just look at the public support many of them have recently displayed for diversity, LGBTQ+, BLM, etc. Granted, much of this may be virtue signalling driven by a desire to maintain profitability or to increase market share. That said, companies can and do bend to public pressure, if the pressure is great enough. And corporations, thier owners, their CEOs, management, etc, donate to political campaigns, etc. and want desperately to be seen to be on the "right side" of history (see point 2), especially in these times of information being so easily accessible.

Just a few thoughts from someone who's not quite white and certainly not male. ;)
