You Picked a Fine Time To Leave Me…Laptop A Writer’s Worst Nightmare

Yes, I’m going to rant. It finally happened. My laptop, formerly “Old Faithful,” has gone to the giant electronic scrap heap in the sky.

Of course, it happened at the most inconvenient time, smack in the middle of several projects and after spending what little extra I had on fixing my car and you know, food. Ugggg!

And of course it had to happen when I’m smack in the middle of a burst of creativity! Yeah, I’m brimming with ideas, overflowing, in fact. This kind of shit never happens during a dry spell, does it? Maybe the universe is trying to tell me to shut up, LOL.

So, the search is on for a replacement. It’ll be a while. But in the meantime, I’m trying to figure out how to write on my phone. It’s not going well.

I’m too old for this! It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to make a title. And then it only kinda worked by accident. I can’t get a picture from Unsplash to save my life! I mean, I can, this picture shows up, but for some reason, I can’t get it to find itself into my story.

I really should have filmed myself trying to type this. It’s make for good comedic viewing. Imagine it as a viral video- Idiot Gen Xer Totally Fails At Doing Stuff on Phone.

I know, I know, not having a laptop isn’t exactly the biggest problem in the world, not in the grand scheme of things. I have food and shelter and heat and all that, so yeah, pretty lucky.
