You're absolutely correct. I recently wrote about it as well. I don't even recognize the weather from my childhood in the 70s adnd 80s.
I live in a Canadian border town, just above Michigan and we literally had no spring. None. We had snow at the end of April. Then, 27 - 30 degrees C. We went from fat, wet snowflakes and winter clothing, to shorts, tanktops and the barrage of blackflies which normally comes much later in less than a week. This week, temperatures are more typical, but looking at the extended forecast, it's not "typical" anymore, just a quick blip and then, back to summer.
I seriously don't get climate change deniers. It's right out there in front of our faces.
Loved your story.
