You're not missing much as far as a white Christmas. I know it sounds romantic and pretty, butonce you've done it once, you're over it. I've done 49 of them, 50 soon. You know how 45 degree heat feels over there? Well, from a Canadian perspective, flip that to cold and wind. Then add, no not sand, snow, and ice. Imagine going outside to drive to Woolworth's or Coles and you can't just jump into your car because you have to scrape a bunch of frozen shit off of it first, and maybe even shovel a bit of it off your driveway. People have heart attacks here from shovelling snow. I am not kidding.

Think abut having to buy special tires for the season and then having to pay to have them swapped out again when the weather gets nice.

Each of us has our own problems, but as a chilly Canuck (Canadian) who loves Australia, I'd spend Christmas in a bikini any damn time!
