You're right. Like with that old lady and the elevator, had it been me, I'd have gotten on, I think. It's easy for me to say because I look white.

That said, racism conitnues to exist because it exists in the shadows and because we keep giving free passes, they're old, they're stupid, they're disaffected, they don't know.

Come on, they know.

As you know, I don't experience the same type of racism as you do because of my appearance. I use that appearance to call out and educate racists whenever I encounter them. You wouldn't be surprised I'm sure, to learn about the shit people say to my face and then have to back peddle all red faced when I let the little bomb drop.

No free passes! Hold your head up high, always maintain your dignity, because they're looking for you to freak out, and assert your rightful place as a person in this world.
